Heirloom Sweetcorn
One of the first moulds I ever made was taken from a real sweetcorn cob.
Long before Four Worlds had a name, I was experimenting with ways to capture the shapes and textures of things found in gardens and around the home. The sweetcorn quickly became a favourite.
At markets, people often pick one up and run their fingers across the kernels to check whether it is real. The texture catches people by surprise.
For me, sweetcorn speaks of summer. Roadside stalls, vegetable gardens at their peak, harvest baskets on kitchen benches, and meals shared outdoors as the day stretches into evening.
Hand-poured in small batches from pure New Zealand beeswax, the Heirloom Sweetcorn candle is part of the Harvest collection, a celebration of cultivated abundance and the simple rituals of the growing season.
Made by hand in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
